New Delhi: Leader of the Opposition in Delhi assembly Ramvir Singh Bidhuri on Tuesday led a protest of BJP workers and local women in Rohtas Nagar against the opening of new liquor shops and announced that the BJP will not allow any new liquor shops to open in Delhi. He also demanded the withdrawal of the new excise policy.
The BJP MLA said that women had sounded the bugle against the new liquor policy and protests against the opening of new liquor shops would be organised all over the capital. “Opening of new liquor shops will affect the younger generation and endanger the safety of women, but the AAP government is not concerned about it,” Bidhuri claimed.
No reaction from the Delhi government was available.
