Nashik, Oct 12 (UNI) In a major operation, country-made liquor and other assets valued at Rs one crore were seized while dozen of people were arrested in the case, the police stated here on Tuesday.

Acting on a tip-off, a team led by Rural SP Sachin Patil raided the Uday Raj Lawns in Chandori area of the Niphad taluka on Monday midnight.

During the action, around 2,000 cartons of hooch, over 10,000 empty bottles of liquor, 20,000 liters of the spirits, at least 100 barrels and other related paraphernalia were seized from the spot, police said.

The cops pegged the total seizure, including a truck, at Rs one crore and added that 12 suspects were arrested in this connection.

A case has been registered at the Saikheda police station. SP Patil is heading the probe.
