SEB opens special control room to keep strict vigil on ID Liquor, Ganja and Ghutka

Kakinada, Sep 26 (UNI) The Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) has opened a special control room in the district police office here with phone number 9490618510 to keep a strict vigil round the clock and check the clandestine movement of Ganja , Ghutka, Khinee, ID Liquor besides other contraband goods.East Godavari superintendent of police M. Ravindranath Babu said that the sleuths of both SEB and the law and order police would initiate prompt action soon after receiving information from the special control room.

He sought the cooperation of the people in putting an end to the smuggling of Ganja , Ghutka, Khinee and other narcotics that became a menace to the society.

He also wanted them to inform the control room on the clandestine operations including sale of ID Liquor, adulterated toddy, running of liquor belt shops, sale of liquor brought from other states and also the illegal movement of sand and sale besides gambling centers and cock fights.

The SP further said under his instructions an awareness Meet was organized in the morning at Chirra Yanam the predominant fishermen village in Katrenikona mandal which is known for ID Liquor supply ,advising the people against clandestine movement of Liquor .

They were warned of stringent punishment if involved in ID Liquor distillation and supply besides running of belt shops, explaining to them the provisions of the law under new excise policy brought out by the government.
